This base camp is less than one mile from the parking lot of Linville Falls and other great scenic attractions. It's approximately a mile to the Blue Ridge Parkway in either direction. Linville Gorge, Linville Falls, Linville River (fishing!), a winery, a restaurant, P.O., and shopping are all within a mile or less. Originally, this pleasant neighborhood was part of the Winding Stairs subdivision. That POA is now inactive, without meetings or dues, and neighbors cooperate in maintaining the gravel road.
